Congratulations to one of our amazing Bathurst customers Lola who recently celebrated her first month at her new job!
Mother of two Lola moved to Australia, settling in Bathurst NSW. With extensive experience in the banking and finance industry and it was her goal to work in a similar field in Australia.
“We worked with Lola during her first 12 months, preparing job applications, cover letters and helping her seek work” said Area Manager Alicia Jeffree.
Despite applying for a large number of jobs, Lola was yet to secure a job.
“She was in the midst of arranging to move to Canberra where there is more demand for the type of work she was looking for when the perfect role came in.” said Ms Jeffree.
To help her be the most prepared she could be, Bathurst team held a mock interview with team members Scott and Vanessa on the panel.
“The team pitched her some questions that may come up in the interview, and it paid off!” Ms Jeffree said.
Lola was successful in gaining a position as an Administrative Assistant within a local Financial Planning firm. She is continuing to study a Bachelor of Accounting and her employer has discussed career progression opportunities.
“It is such a thrill to know that not only have we assisted Lola to find employment, which means she can support her family, it could also result in her transitioning into her dream job.” Ms Jeffree said.
“Lola was so appreciative for the assistance she received that she showered the staff with cakes, chocolates, flowers and a card!” said Ms Jeffree.
Lola has been at work for just over 4 weeks now and says she is absolutely loving her job. All reports back are that she fits in great with her new team.
